UKH library was established in September 2006. The library, which is the backbone for both research and academic activities at the university, was established with a vision to implement international standards and to provide high quality service to all its users. The library is open to both UKH students and faculty as well as the general public and researchers in other academic institutions.
UKH library, despite its recent establishment managed to build bridges of cooperation both nationally and internationally; and has succeeded in becoming the leading academic library in the region both in its services and in a modern approach to librarianship. The library adopted an ambitious plan to provide international standard training for both its staff and other academic libraries in the region; introducing them to the modern approach for library management and providing world standard services to students and other users.
While being extremely strict in regard to respecting copyright, intellectual property and freedom of knowledge and information, UKH library has succeeded in building a solid academic collection as well as providing electronic access to millions of articles and research papers, as well as thousands of leading journals and reputable publications. All library users have equal access to all resources available through library facilities.
