In a seminar at University of Kurdistan Hewler, the Kurdistan Regional Government's Head of the Department of Foreign Relations, Mr. Falah Musta Bakir, emphasized on the right track of his Department's activities.

In a seminar to all the students of the University, which was later followed by a lecture to the undergraduate and postgraduate students of Politics and International Relations department, Mr. Bakir described the functions of his Department and the KRG's activities with regard to international relations. "We are practicing foreign relations not foreign policy," said the ministerial-rank figure, referring to the fact that foreign policy is designed by Baghdad and Kurdistan Region is implementing it. He also said that the number of diplomatic representation in the Region is constantly rising due to the political, security and economic status in the Region, as well as the understandable stance of the KRG regarding the outside world.

Mr. Bakir expressed his admire to be at UKH and stated that the vision behind the establishment of UKH has been to heavily contribute to the development of Kurdistan Region.
