Dr. Brian Thornton is from Libbock, Texas.　 He holds both a Master's degree and PhD in Creative Writing from Texas Tech University, as well as a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas Tech University.　 His poetry has been featured in both American and International Publications such as, The Iron Horse Quarterly Review (US),South Valley Review (US), and Andalusian Review (Spain).　 He also has a chapbook of poems, Emerald City Jazz, which was released in 2004.　

Dr. Thornton has also presented lectures and served on panels at various US and International conferees including the Popular Culture Association, North East Christian Cinema Conference, and Dublin's Annual Poetry Colloquium.
