Currently I am a lecturer in Political Theory/Research Methodology/International relations, within the department of Politics and International Relations, at the University of Kurdistan Hewler. Prior to this I was a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the Institute of Social Sciences, University of Lisbon (ICS-UL); a research assistant at the Centre for Research and Studies in Sociology – University Institute of Lisbon (CIES-IUL); and a research associate at UCL Anthropology - University College of London (UCL). I also lectured in the Department of Sociology, at Soran University, in Iraqi Kurdistan. I gained my PhD in Sociology from ISCTE-University Institute of Lisbon (ISCTE-IUL) in 2014.

· Doing other departmental academic and/or administrative work.
· Designing and planning research projects;
· Doing literature reviews and synthesising data;
· Doing one-to-one interviews, life-stories and participant observation;
· Planning, designing and transcribing interviews;
· Constructing a data base (SPSS), doing quantitative descriptive analyses and doing parametric and non-parametric tests; coding, analysing and synthesising qualitative data;
· Writing papers and intermediate and final research reports;
· Preparing for/doing oral presentations in conferences/seminars;
· Data analyses for social sciences with MaxQDA, ATLAS.ti, and SPSS.
