Amani Jaser Suleiman
Postdoctoral Research Associate
Dr. Amani Suleiman is currently a postdoctoral Research Associate at the Nahrein Network- CCHH conducting a research on promoting sustainable development in the Kurdistan Region focusing on the tourism sector.
She received her Ph.D in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Jordan, Masters of Business Administration in Economics and BA in Business Administration from Mutah University in Jordan. She also holds a professional certificate in University Teaching and Learning (Teaching Methods).
During her graduate years, she was also fortunate enough to have served as a part time lecturer at the Economic department for almost two years. The combination of practical work experience and solid academic experience prepared her to be an effective researcher and instructor.
Her doctoral dissertation was the first of kind in the Middle East to estimate the potential output and output gap for the whole economy and by sectors as well, using different methodologies. It also analyzes the influence of output gap on Macroeconomic variables in Jordan by developing the appropriate econometric models. In addition to her dissertation research, Amani has numbers of published papers (see refereed academic publications). Her research interests include but are not limited to the areas of Sustainable Development, Micro, Macro, labor, financial and international economics.
Amani is currently a postdoctoral Research Associate at the CCHH and the Nahrein Network.
Conducting a research on promoting sustainable development in the Kurdistan Region focusing on the tourism sector.
Co-ordinating and delivering collaborative events and outputs for the CCHH center and the Network, in conjuction with the other members of the Core Team.
