Educational Volunteering Programme

Educational Volunteering Programme

The UKHCF Educational Volunteering Programme is a 10-week programme aimed at helping approximately 16 yazidi families who have fled from Shingal after ISIS attacks and took refuge in a camp near Divan Hotel in Erbil, Kurdistan. The Programme Coordinator organizes and supports the volunteers in their 2-hours per week volunteering sessions.
The 2017-2018 UKHCF Educational Volunteering Programme: Introductory Workshop had a speaker, recommended by US Consulate General Erbil, who won the US Congress gold award on volunteering.


Emergency Aid Programme

Emergency Aid Programme

The UKHCF Emergency Aid Programme aims to provide 24-hour emergency response to crisis throughout the community. Every month, the Programme Coordinator organizes and manages an activity with a group of volunteers to respond to community outreach activity.

Smile Programme

Smile Programme

The UKHCF Smile Programme aims to bring a smile to the community through social engagement activity. The Programme Coordinator organizes weekly trips to orphanages, hospitals, elderly and disability centers for the volunteers. The volunteers dedicate one semester, for one hour on a weekly basis, to bring a smile to those facing hardship.

Scholar Programme

Scholar Programme

The UKHCF Scholar Programme aims to connect with institutions and companies regionally and internationally to provide scholarship opportunities for the University’s students and community. The Programme Coordinator will organize and manage scholarship opportunities for the community.


Health Programme

Health Programme

The UKHCF Health Programme, will have the Programme Coordinator organize volunteer visits hospitals and clinics in order to conduct a monthly report. This report will be provided to the KRG Ministry of Health and for the UKHCF annual report. This programme will bring awareness to the community on the progress of our healthcare system. The duration of this volunteering programme is set for a semester.
