| University of London Open Day at UKH |
Come along to this open day to find out about studying for a University of London degree in Iraq. You can study by distance learning or take local classes at the University of Kurdistan - Hewler (UKH). UKH supports undergraduate courses which have both been developed by the London School of Economics and Political Science. Students who graduate from this program will get a dual degree of University of London and University of Kurdistan Hewler. |

| UNIVERSITY OF KURDISTAN HEWLER OPEN DAY |
University of Kurdistan Hewler held its annual Open Day on 16th of April and the event was well attended by interested high school students and their parents from the Kurdistan Region. The event aimed at facilitating registration for new students for the academic year 2012-2013.

| British Minister for Universities and Science praises UKH Standards |
 The British Minister of State for Universities and Science, The Right Honourable David Willetts paid a visit to the University of Kurdistan Hewler on Wednesday 4th of April.
Mr. Willetts praised UKH's standards and hoped that it can be exported to the other public universities in the Region. |

| Uprising Commomemorated at UKH |
 A large event was held for the 21st anniversary of the Uprising of the Iraqi Kurdistan Region on Monday inside University of Kurdistan Hewler (UKH). |

| Ballet Dance at Peshawa Hall |
The Ministry of Culture and Ministry of Education welcomed members of Ballet School from Sulemani to hold ballet festival for the third time. The School is established in February 2009 and has more than over 30 students from different ages of children and teenagers, teaching them ballot lessons by professional teachers. It is the first Ballet school in the Kurdistan region and the second in whole Iraq.

As part of the sightseeing activities of the University learning programs, the Department of Natural Resources Engineering and Management, made a tour to the Safin Mountains and Duhok Resort.

| UKH Welcomes a Large British Delegation |
 A large delegation consisting of eight British universities visited University of Kurdistan Hewler on Monday. In the meeting several topics were tackled, including the possible collaborations between UKH and these British institutions in order to provide new fields of study required to develop the region and Iraq in general and promote relevant academic subjects of study. |

 As a part of exchange program University of Kurdistan Hewler students were invited by Amsterdam University to stay there for 10 days. |

Bakir, emphasized on the right track of his Department's activities.
UKH students are continuously motivated to perform activities in various areas. 
UKH Students paid their respect to Halabja Victims on the Tragedy's 24th Anniversary
University of Kurdistan Hewler celebrated the International Women's Day on 8th of March on Campus with presence of high ranked guests, staff and students. 
Professor Alan Dilani, the founder and General Director of the International Academy for Design and Health (IADH-Sweden), presented a seminar “search for a healthy society in Kurdistan”, at UKH On 13th of February.
UKH Successfully Concludes the Annual Academic Exchange Program with the University of Amsterdam
